My name is Tommy, I’ve been working at TechStyle for over nine years, where I currently hold the position of Senior Staff Software Engineer. When I first joined the company as a Senior Developer, I started on the Enterprise platform team. I worked closely with our marketing, acquisition, and Business analytics teams, focusing on building internal tools and integrating analytics into our e-commerce websites.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is helping to build and launch SavageXFenty, a new lingerie brand under the TechStyle umbrella. During that project, I took on the challenge of transforming our legacy monolithic codebase into an API, which allowed us to decouple the back-end technology from the front-end. This work was a game-changer for the brand, providing the flexibility and scalability we needed, and it also earned me a promotion to Staff Software Engineer.
Now, I work on a central team that focuses on real-time data collection, analytics, and monitoring. We use technologies like Kafka, Flink, KSQL, and Golang to ensure that TechStyle stays ahead in the competitive world of eCommerce.
